Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is applied behavior analysis (ABA)?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an evidence-based, systematic approach to changing behavior. Depending on your child's needs, we might focus on decreasing challenging behaviors, teaching prosocial behaviors, or delivering intensive academic interventions. Often times, we focus on a combination of all three goals. We know that navigating challenging behavior can be overwhelming! We are here to help!

Where will you see my child?

Services can take place in your home or at your child's school. Other locations will depend on individual goals.

Do you work with caregivers too?

Absolutely! Caregivers are a critical part of the team. If caregivers are implementing the intervention when we are not present, success is much more likely.

Where do we start?

We typically begin with an intake session with parent/caregiver(s) only. We will discuss at the presenting concerns (challenging behavior, skill acquisition sibling conflicts) and decide on a plan for initial assessments/intervention strategies. Initial assessments/sessions are typically completed within 4-6 sessions. We then discuss individualized next steps based on assessment results.

Do you take insurance?

We do not take insurance. We are an out-of-network provider. We are happy to provide you with a superbill, but we will not communicate with your insurance provider directly.

How much do you charge?

All services are $165/hour. For more detailed billing information, please reach out to us via email at admin@flipbehavior.com.

Do I have to be home during services?

Occasionally, we can provide services when a sitter is present. We ask that parents are home for the majority of sessions so we can problem solve together. If we are working with your child at school, we will discuss a separate arrangement for collaborating with both the school team and the home team
